How
to use it
|
Must
be inserted by
a health care professional, usually at the time of a period. You may
need to rest afterwards.

Advantages
|
Requires
no
attention. Fertility returns immediately upon discontinued use. Does
not interfere with lovemaking. Can be used while breast feeding and
women who have never had a baby. An allergy to copper is impossible.
Reduced infections in the uterus. Genital infections don't increase,
may be decreases copper kills bacteria's.

Disadvantages
|
May
have an
increase risk for tubal pregnancy. Should not be used by woman have a
history of tubal pregnancy. May be expelled without knowing it. Copper
IUD needs to be changed every 1,5 - 2 years.

can be felt the string or the end of the IUD at the cervix may be with
pain; a missed or late period; a very light period; severe cramping
and/or bleeding with intercourse; fever or chills of no known reason;
or foul smelling vaginal discharge.
